Will Slipknot be remembered as one of the best metal bands of all time?

I've been a fan of Slipknot's since their debut but I think it's time for Slipknot to end, ever since they lost Paul Gray I think that they've lost their touch...Do you think Slipknot will be remembered as one of the all time greats when its all said and done?

I'm gonna have to say no to this question even though I used to be obsessed with them. They have not been pioneers of anything major in the music industry or made major history. They are a fad that will die out within generations to come. Unlike Ozzy, Aerosmith, and bands like those, Slipknot will not survive numerous decades into the ears of future teenagers. It almost hurts me to say all of this because of how into Slipknot I was in high school but I am not blind to the truth of the matter. Did slipknot have their high time? Yes, definately. But I do not forsee them goin down in history or the Hall of Fame type of stuff.

No, because they're a boyband with distorted guitars and masks. Remember boybands from the 90's? Remember how the "band" members said "Oh, I'm the smart one! I'm the sexy one! I'm the strong one!". Remember those fake personalities? Slipknot does the exact same thing but with masks.

well of course slipknot has been known for years for their impeccable talent. after paul died, at first i wanted them to still tour but then realizing yes they will be slipknot BUT it wont be the same after paul... i have been listening to slipknot for five years and had all cds and clothing and accessories til they all got stolen but thats a different their story. slipknot is also known for their amazing preformances and of course rocking out they will always be the best metal band of all times..

I don't know if they'll be remembered as all time greats, probably not actually, I like them though, I just don't think they're at that level.
