Alright so I'm pretty sure I know what was going on a whiiile back with Brand New and Taking Back Sunday (after all the "It's rumoured" and "I think..." comments screwed with the facts) on Seventy Times 7 and There's No 'I' In Team. But I was also noticing how many other small, almost unnoticed lines, there were in each other's songs i.e. "I got a 20 dollar bill". So I was listening to one of the songs and decided to look all this up again. I was wondering if there are tiny references in the songs about Jesse, John, or Adam by any of the three singers, do you know what songs are responding to what after Seventy and Team?

Mixtape and Team have a couple references, as well as other songs by the 3 of them shooting back at each other.

Anyone wanna try and put the responding lyrics in what they feel is the order of any lyrics tied into their songs? (Jesse in Brand New, John Nolan before he left Taking Back Sunday, and Adam who could be writing metaphors to lash out in newer TBS albums

Well I can tell you A Decade under the influence by TBS is reference to both Jesse and John.. The Line 'Sad Small Sweet So Delicate' is a direct quote from a Straylight Run song (John's band) 'Dying Breed' is also a quote from Brand New...sorry can't remember the exact songs by them.

Also in the chorus, 'To hell with you and all your friends' pretty straight forward as John and Jesse are friends....

'I've got a bad feeling about this' clearly another instance of the downfall of friendships.

Sorry that is all I can think of off the top of my head....I am sure though if you look into there songs enough you will be able to pick them apart!

Sorry I couldn't be more help Thanks!!

Well the whole Tell All Your Friends album was written and recorded when both Jesse Lacey and John Nolan were still in Taking back Sunday, and it's about the whooole shibang that started the three bands fighting. Before TAYF, around the time TBS's self-titled EP was released, Adam Lazzara was dating Michelle DeRosa, then known as Michelle Nolan, John Nolan's sister of course. Adam cheated on her with Jesse Lacey's girlfriend.

And the songs Seventy Times 7 and There's No 'I' In Team are specifically about a phone call shared between Adam and Jesse, hence the lines about ending the conversation/call.

And although the lyrics for Mixtape does include the same phrase as a TBS song has, it isn't related to TBS, because if it were then it would have to be about Jesse's gf, the one that cheated on him with Adam, and that's not possible as they broke up after that whole cheating mess and Brand New was formed after.

I know this doesn't really answer your question but I just wanted to get it all out there and straightened up.

And your playlist sounds like a cool idea, btw. :)
