Why English songs have good lyrics than Indian songs?

Question

I am an Indian and must be only one to think contemporary like this. Plz don't think that I got fainted in western culture.

I am 18 years guy and I use to hear songs in different languages(English, Spain, Tamil, Hindi, Japanese)...I felt that English songs have good lyrics than Indian songs.Specially the songs like' The climb' by Hannah Montana, 'Let the rain falls us' and 'fly' of Hilary Duff are really have amazing lyrics. And also the old Disney songs such us 'I am in my way', 'I wanna know' , 'You be in my heart' are really amazing. They have nt only good music bt it will help some one to build confidence in them. Don't forgot' show me the meaning of being lonely' by Back street boys.

Most of the Japanese songs are having good lyrics. "Sayonara" by Orange Range is having nice lyrics. Even some of the Japanese cartoon title song are so good and enthusiastic. The Bleech ending....they are all nice.

But when you see most of the Indians songs are lacking good lyrics. 3/4 of Indian songs must be abt girls. 'Aadunga da machan Adunga da' in Tamil song have awful lyrics. It won't help you to gain self-confidence or to have faith. Either it will only lead teenagers and Children to go in wrong path. Also most of the Hindi songs are so bad compare to English and Japan.

I feels music is an entertainment as well as a good weapon to stir the minds of us. U know Pen is mighter than sword....So wat do u feel guys?.....

dude..i think you have only listened new bollywood songs like kolaveri di...dats why u have this lookout...old bollywood songs have awesom lyrics....and also d most richest language of the world is urdu.....read shers of galib u will kno d fact..... :)

All indian songs are not bad. similarly, all english songs do not have 'great' lyrics. I think most songs by gaga - eminem- enrique-JB-Linkin Park etc. would have been BANNED in India for their LYRICS, no matter how sweet it seems to hear.( "...it will only lead teenagers and Children to go in wrong path...") If u say old disney songs are very good, then why u dont listen the splendid works of Rafi & Kishorekumar & Lata? RD made those lyrics just awesome.

Among recent, u forgot songs like "masakali" "sasural genda ful" "Sadda Haq" " Raat ke dhai baaje" "behene de" "phir se wohi zindegi" "khwabo ki riste" "Tune meri jaana" "ayoge jab tum" "Tu jaane na"

"zindegi me koi kabhi aaye na rabba " "JAY HO"...the list is endless.

In every language , u will find good & bad lyrics. dont be partial.



Personally, I think urdu ghajals have the best ever lyrics.And, ever heard any Rabindranath Tagore song ? If u find the meaning of all the lyrics, u will never go for any other song ever.
